Crescent Farms - Hole By Hole

Hole #1 Tee

Hole #1 Green

 Hole #1

Par 4-Handicap 9
This slight dogleg to the right is played from an elevated tee down to the fairway which is guarded on the left by a fairway bunker and on the right by a creek. The green is protected by bunkers on each side. A well-placed tee shot should lead to an excellent birdie chance.

Hole #2 Tee

Hole #2 Green

 Hole #2
 Par 5-Handicap 15

A short par-five that becomes reachable if you can successfully negotiate the tee shot.  The tee shot requires a left-to-right shot through a chute of trees. Be careful! A tee shot that strays too far right can catch a fairway bunker or the out-of-bounds beyond. The second shot needs to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left and the large tree just short of the green.  The green slopes from back to front and left to right making for a tricky putting surface.

Hole #3 Tee

Hole #3 Green

 Hole #3
 Par 3-Handicap 17

Your tee shot on this medium length par-three must avoid the lake short of the green and the creek to the left. This deep green gives you plenty of room to take extra club and still have a nice chance for par.

Hole #4 Tee

Hole #4 Green

 Hole #4
 Par 4-Handicap 3

This hole is a good test of your driving accuracy!   Your tee shot must be placed between the fairway bunker on the left and the water hazard on the right to reach this long par-four in two shots. The green is protected by sand on each side of the green.  On the putting surface, pay attention because this green has more slope from back to front then most people realize.

Hole #5 Tee

Hole #5 Green

 Hole #5

Par 4-Handicap 13
Accuracy is a must!  This short par-four requires a tee shot to find the fairway to have a chance to score.  Get even a little off line to left and you'll have to deal with some of the largest trees at Crescent Farms.  Since the green slopes from left-to-right, shots hit to the right side of the hole should leave makeable uphill putts.

Hole #6 Tee

Hole #6 Green

 Hole #6

Par 5-Handicap 7
This straightaway par-five has a narrow landing area.  The shorter hitters must avoid the fairway bunker on the right and the big hitters must drive between two water hazards.  The second shot requires the ball to find the fairway to set up a short pitch to a two-tiered green.

Hole #7 Tee

Hole #7 Green

 Hole #7

Par 4-Handicap 5
This picturesque dogleg left is protected by a lake down the left side of the fairway and large trees greenside.  The optimal tee shot is one that turns slightly right-to-left to place the ball for the best approach shot into the green.

Hole #8 Tee

Hole #8 Green

 Hole #8

Par 3-Handicap 11
This starts a two hole stretch called the Beauty and the Beast.  This beautiful par-three is the signature golf hole at Crescent Farms.  The ideal tee shot carries a lake onto a two-tiered green with large overhanging trees and three strategically placed bunkers.

Hole #9 Tee

Hole #9 Green

 Hole #9

Par 4-Handicap 1
Good Luck!  This hole is referred to as the Beast.  The tee shot must be long and straight to have less than 200 yards into the uphill, heavily protected, sloping two-tiered green.  The tee shot is protected by two fairway bunkers along with a hazard to the left and tall native grass to the right.  Your second shot is uphill with bunkers guarding the green and a large tree that “gobbles” up balls straying to the right.  Make your par and celebrate with a beverage at the turn.

Hole #10 Tee

Hole #10 Green

 Hole #10

Par 4-Handicap 10
You must avoid the bunker on the left if you want a chance to hit the green in regulation.  This uphill dogleg to the right requires a left-to-right shaped shot to find the fairway.  The green is severely sloped from back to front making the ideal location of your approach shot below the hole.

Hole #11 Tee

Hole #11 Green

 Hole #11

Par 5-Handicap 12
This double dogleg par-five can be reached in two with a carefully placed tee shot.  The longer hitters can challenge the lake on the right side of the fairway to eliminate the yardage necessary to get there in two.  The lay-up shot is tricky because of the narrow, water protected landing area.   This green offers a chance to make birdie or eagle!

Hole #12 Tee

Hole #12 Green

 Hole #12

Par 3-Handicap 16
Take one extra club on this long uphill par-three.  A well crafted tee shot will avoid the bunkers guarding the green and leave a chance for a one-putt birdie that you can brag about for a long time to come.

Hole #13 Tee

Hole #13 Green

 Hole #13

Par 4-Handicap 4
A monster of a hole!  This uphill par-four is protected by trees on the left and a fairway bunker on the left.  Accuracy is important on the approach shot because the green jettisons any miss hits left, leaving a difficult pitch from under a tree to an elevated green.

Hole #14 Tee

Hole #14 Green

 Hole #14

Par 4-Handicap 6
At one time, this hole was considered an easy dogleg to the right.  Not any more!  The trees at the corner of the dogleg have grown up and challenge any player trying to cut the corner.  Be prepared to play your approach shot from a sloped lie because the fairway runs from right-to-left. Remember the slope of the fairway when trying to read your putt on the green.

Hole #15 Tee

Hole #15 Green

 Hole #15

Par 3-Handicap 18
The easiest hole on the course!  A downhill tee shot to a smallish green with bunkers protecting the front of the green.  The back left section of the green runs away from you toward a pond located at the bottom of the hill. This is a good chance for birdie.

Hole #16 Tee

Hole #16 Green

 Hole #16

Par 5-Handicap 14
Beware of the hidden pond on the left!  From the tee you won't see the pond that sits just off the left side of the fairway on this mid-length par-five.  If your approach shot avoids the deep greenside bunker you'll have an excellent birdie chance.

Hole #17 Tee

Hole #17 Green

 Hole #17

Par 4-Handicap 8
From the tips, this is the toughest tee shot at Crescent Farms.  A tree protects the left side of the fairway and the tee points you toward the water hazard on the right.  After successfully navigating the right-to-left tee shot, you face the challenge around the green. The putting surface is guarded on the left by another water hazard and on the right with a sand trap, leaving little hope for an up-and-down.

Hole #18 Tee

Hole #18 Green

 Hole #18

Par 4-Handicap 2
This is a demanding finishing hole.  A well placed drive will avoid the series of bunkers on the left, the large bunker on the right, and the hidden creek that bisects the fairway.  If you survive the tee shot, you are left with an uphill approach shot to a green protected by four bunkers and a large overhanging tree.  The putting surface slopes from back to front and slightly from left-to-right.
